The Charlotte Table Tennis Club hosts and sponsors a number of tournaments, including USATT sanctioned events, community organization events, and novice events. USATT sanctioned events are held 4 to 6 times a year, with prize money and USATT tournament ratings. Community organization events may be open or closed, such as the Carolina Kannada Balaga tournament held early each year. Novice events include the annual CTTC handicap tournament where lower rated players start with a certain number of points against higher rated players and play a single game match to 31, and the Basement Hackers Open - a tournament for unrated players sponsored by Wheelhouse Media, CTTC, and the Monroe Table Tennis Club.
We also publicize and support tournaments offered by clubs in our region - at Triangle Badminton and Table Tennis in Morrisville, Cape Fear Table Tennis in Fayetteville, Threedom Table Tennis Club in Hampstead, NC, and Atlanta Georgia Table Tennis Association in Norcross, GA.
A number of our CTTC players compete in national tournaments - the North American Teams Championships, The US Open, and The National Senior Games.
